Good evening bye! Board for the roof, and rain gutters for the second cabin, but also for the workshop.

I still have to do them. Probably a winter project. I remember that took a long time the first time I did it, because it was I made in the middle of winter and there was no power but with the tools that i have now, and the amount of solar power it's gonna be much easier. This is larche, both the boards and these, it's very stable wood Quite dry already, so yeah. Looks good. How's it going?

And now the other side There is a lot of routine now.

Are you gonna start your building agency after this? Who knows? Yeah, it goes a bit faster, but it's still a lot of work In the car I have some wood... This is some some food. I had some wood still stored for the longer pieces and I'm basically now adding like a meter but at an angle and so I needed also I have to get the short pieces. Yeah and some metal pieces that I can drive into the ground so I can I have a different way to fix it. Okay, I hope there's nothing. You need a help with the trailer to bring stuff up? oh no that is very kind You got it up there. It's downhill mostly. Well yeah, it's downhill. with the stuff it's downhill Yeah. But um now it's all good. And um You've been down here, you've been here this two weeks, like you were saying you came back... Yeah. A lot of mushrooms now actually, today is uh... when I parked my car up there...do you like the Mazza di tamboro?

Yea i have plenty here, just had them for lunch there's big ones here. oh yea, there's huge ones up there Just taking a look at the roof if our moss experiment that we did this summer is working out

There's actually moss growing there, mostly between the mortar joints and the places that are kind of hidden and not exposed to sun very much. I thought it was a failed experiment. Because we did it end of June, we put a mixture of moss, mud and yogurt with some water. on this part of the roof to promote growth of moss and lichen and such things to blend this new roof more in with the older roofs. but it was a very hot summer and there's a lot of sun coming on this part of the roof in in July and August So I thought it was a failed experiment because moss does grow very quickly here. If I look at the earth walls here, the kind of like where we dug out the space for the cabin It's very green there and some parts are growing very quickly because it's almost always humid and cold and kind of wet there. But here on the roof it's more difficult And I know it works because on the other side, there's no moss at all and the roof looks still a bit more bluish from the stone And that side is actually the side of the roof that would grow moss more quick because it's under the trees.

It doesn't catch as much sun. So yeah, nice to see. It'll take a while for this roof to age, but uh it's interesting to see that it works Yeah, lots of stone work. Still have to do this side of the roof. Raise the walls until the underside of the rafters, those ones, and they will go on maybe end of next week. Although it takes time to do the stonework And then when the rafters are on, they are spread 60 centimeters, like in between I need to fill up with stone as well.

And then the outside stonework will be all finished That's quite a bit of work, but it's plenty of stone, but you just have to gather it, sort it out and uh yeah... flies... It's beautiful now with all the the mushrooms as well. A lot of parasol mushrooms and the red ones are starting to come And the quince tree over there is suffering a bit. There's a lot of fruit and it's getting heavy. So I put a tripod under one of the branches. They're ready to harvest I think in a month or so because they look quite full but they need to smell and then they're ready. I think last year when everything was yellow We took them down and we made a jam of them. It's really nice. It's a beautiful fruit, beautiful smell. So yeah, raspberries also a lot. I mean I cut down this patch... almost entirely, I think it was in March, and now it grows abundantly.

Beautiful time of the year if you're wondering how I'm doing, given the recent events, I'm easing into my solo life again Um yeah, it's it's going okay. I'm feeling peace. it is what all the people said, that time heals, It works like that, so it's good, takes its time, but it's all good.
